Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026 · These are the binding refund & cancellation terms for all Main St Success purchases.

How refunds work — the 3 rules everything follows

  1. A money-back promise is real, but it’s capped on usage so it can’t be abused. We make a confident, public guarantee — then tie it to whether you’ve actually used the product.
  2. Access = sale earned. The trigger for “no refund” is simple and objective: did you start or access the course? The moment you open it, the value is delivered — you can’t keep the product and get the money back. We don’t judge “reasons”; the rule is the rule.
  3. We always offer a transfer or account credit first. Our default save is “move your seat or credit your account,” not a cash refund.

1. Online / Self-Paced Courses

CE (22.5hr), Pre-Licensing (77hr), Broker (75hr), Home Inspector (140hr) — online editions.

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee — full refund ONLY if BOTH are true:

  • Requested within 7 days of purchase, and
  • You have not yet started or accessed the course (you have not opened or entered the course content).

Once you start the course, it is non-refundable — period. The moment you access the material, the value is delivered and the sale is final, even if you are still inside the 7 days. After 7 days, or after any access, there is no refund.

  • A login or access problem is never a refund reason — we fix access the same business day.
  • “I found it cheaper / changed my mind / went elsewhere” after starting the course is not covered.
  • The rule is objective: within 7 days and untouched, or it’s final.

2. Live, Zoom & In-Person Classes

  • 5+ days before the start date → full refund or free transfer.
  • 2–4 days before → 50% refund or free transfer.
  • Under 48 hours / no-show → no refund; one courtesy transfer at our discretion.
  • Class canceled or rescheduled by Main St Success → full refund or free transfer, your choice.

3. Home Inspector (140hr) Payment Plans

  • Home Inspector follows the Section 1 rule for refunds (7 days + not started).
  • Payment plan: enrolling and accessing the course commits you to the full balance. Missing or stopping payments does not cancel your obligation — the remaining installments stay due and the account may go to collections. We will pause a plan once for documented hardship; we do not cancel a plan after course access has begun.

4. MSS Elite Membership (recurring)

  • Cancel anytime → stops your next billing cycle.
  • Already-billed months are non-refundable. No partial-month or retroactive refunds.
  • Annual plans (if offered): refundable within 14 days only if no premium content or benefit has been used.

5. Exam Prep, Cram Sessions & Tutoring

  • Live sessions: Section 2 rules apply (timing-based).
  • On-demand prep / question banks: non-refundable once accessed — instant digital delivery.
  • 1-on-1 tutoring: refundable for unused prepaid hours only; used hours are not refundable.

6. Private, Group & Corporate / Brokerage Enrollments

  • Bulk seats are refundable for unused, un-started seats only.
  • Once any enrolled student logs in, that seat is consumed and non-refundable.
  • Custom or scheduled private classes follow Section 2 timing rules.

7. Class Sponsorships & Event Tickets

  • Sponsorships: non-refundable once the sponsored class is promoted or delivered; transferable to a future class.
  • Event tickets: non-refundable within 14 days of the event; transferable to another attendee anytime.

8. Materials, eBooks, Gift Purchases & Promo Codes

  • Textbooks / physical materials: non-refundable once shipped; unused return within 14 days → refund minus shipping, at our discretion.
  • eBooks / digital downloads: non-refundable (instant access).
  • Gift purchases / vouchers: refundable to the buyer only if unredeemed.
  • Bundles / promos: refunding part of a discounted bundle unwinds the discount — you are refunded at the non-bundle price of what you keep.

9. The only guaranteed refunds (any product)

  • A duplicate or accidental charge.
  • A technical failure on our end that we genuinely cannot resolve within 3 business days.
  • A class or product canceled or discontinued by Main St Success before you begin.

10. Admin fee & processing

  • Approved refunds retain a $25 administrative fee (covers payment processing and discourages casual churn).
  • Request refunds at [email protected] with your name and order details. Approved refunds return to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
  • Chargebacks: filing a chargeback instead of contacting us may forfeit access and result in account suspension. We contest chargebacks with delivery and usage records.

11. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] with your full name, the product purchased, and your order or receipt details. We respond within 1–2 business days.


Short version

Online / self-paced courses (CE, Pre-Licensing, Broker, Home Inspector): full refund only within 7 days of purchase AND before you start the course. The moment you open the course, it’s final — no refund, no exceptions. Login trouble is fixed the same day, not refunded.
Live / in-person classes: full refund or transfer 5+ days out · 50% or transfer 2–4 days · none inside 48 hours / no-show.
Memberships: cancel anytime to stop future billing; billed months aren’t refunded.
Digital materials / eBooks: non-refundable once accessed.
