SAFETY COURSES

Includes: 40-Hour Site Safety Manager, 8-Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher / Chapter 33 & 8-Hour Site Safety Coordination. Students will learn the hazards of working in New York City’s construction environment, its specific methods, work ethics, and practices needed in an urban construction site.

40-HOUR SITE SAFETY MANAGER:

This course reviews Chapter 33 and the rules of the city of New York that talk about public safety and protection. It provides potential workers with safe job practices in New York City. It will also prepare them to take the Site Safety Manager’s Test.

At the duration of this course, students will learn the hazards of working in New York City’s construction environment, its specific methods, work ethics, and practices needed in an urban construction site.

8-HOUR SITE SAFETY MANAGER REFRESHER / CHAPTER 33

CODE SAF-202. This is a training course and a refresher to the 40-hour Site Safety Manager Course, a complete presentation of Chapter 33 and the Rules of the City of New York that talks about public safety and protection. At the duration of this training, students will be given a review of the hazards of working in the New York City construction environment, its specific methods, and work practices needed in an urban construction site.

8-HOUR SITE SAFETY COORDINATION

Code SAF-103. This course focuses on managing a construction site and talks about the NYC DOB Building Codes. This course highlights the importance of safety and protection for everyone. Our instructors will talk about the changes to the Building Codes, their impact on public safety, and more.

SCAFFOLD COURSES

Includes: 4 Hour Supported Scaffold User And Refresher, 32-Hour Supported Scaffold Installer And Remover, 8 Hour Supported Scaffold Installer And Remover Refresher, 16 Hour Suspended Scaffold User, 8 Hour Suspended Scaffold User Refresher, 32 Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor & 8 Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Refresher. The instructor will assess students by the end of the course.

4 HOUR SUPPORTED SCAFFOLD USER AND REFRESHER:

Code SCA-201. This course will teach the essential elements in scaffold safety. It will also expose students to the nature of scaffold hazards. Students will review the role of the scaffold user in accident prevention, such as scaffold inspections, fall protection, recognizing hazards, and responding to emergencies.

32-HOUR SUPPORTED SCAFFOLD INSTALLER AND REMOVER:

Code SCA-102. Instructors will show safe methods of installing, removing, and modifying different types of supported scaffolds using OSHA regulations and DOB standards as guides. At the duration of this course, students will be exposed to hands-on activities, and the instructor will assess their skills at the end of the course.

8 HOUR SUPPORTED SCAFFOLD INSTALLER AND REMOVER REFRESHER:

Code SCA-202. At the duration of this course, students will talk about the changes and updates to OSHA and New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) policies, procedures, and supported scaffold standards. They will also share their experiences about the newly supported scaffold systems. Students will be exposed to hands-on activities, and the instructor will assess their skills at the end of the course.

16 HOUR SUSPENDED SCAFFOLD USER

Code SCA-103. At the duration of this course, students will be given an overview of the OSHA and DOB policies, procedures, and suspended scaffold standards, highlighting the recognition and prevention of hazardous conditions. 

 At the duration of this course, students will be exposed to hands-on activities, and the instructor will assess their skills at the end of the course.

8 HOUR SUSPENDED SCAFFOLD USER REFRESHER

Code SCA-203. Instructions will be provided to visually inspect suspended scaffold equipment, identify scaffold components, and execute safe assembly and disassembly of the equipment.  At the duration of this course, students will be required to join the hands-on activities, and the instructor will assess their skills at the end of the course.

32 Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor

Code SCA-301. For the duration of this course, students will learn New York City Construction Codes and OSHA regulations as they talk about the supervision of suspended scaffolds. Students will be subject to hands-on activities and assessed by their instructors.

8 Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Refresher:

Code SCA-301. This course aims to aid supervisors in maintaining sufficient safety discipline on suspended scaffold projects in New York City. At the duration of this course, students will discuss the recent changes in the rigging industry, share their experiences, and more.

The instructor will assess students by the end of the course.

SITE SAFETY TRAINING (SST) PRESCRIBED COURSES

Includes: 2-Hour Site Safety Plan (SSP), 2 Hour Site Drug and Alcohol Awareness, 2-Hour Pre-Task Meeting, 2-Hour Tool Box Talks, 4-Hour Fall Prevention, 8 Hour Fall Prevention and more. It educates workers on accident and injury avoidance defining the regulations and safety rules connected to fall hazards on construction sites.

2-Hour Site Safety Plan (SSP)

 2 Hour Site Drug and Alcohol  Awareness

 Code SST-B302. This program addresses substance and alcohol abuse and focuses explicitly on educating workers on safety and productivity hazards. This training can be offered as a stand-alone seminar or be integrated with other industry-appropriate subject matter.

 4 Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher

Code SCA-201. This course discusses the basic elements of supported scaffold safety and introduces students to the nature of supported scaffold hazards. At the duration of this course, the focus is placed on the role of the scaffold user in accident prevention.

 8 Hour Fall Prevention

 Code SST-B307. This course educates workers on accident and injury avoidance defining the regulations and safety rules connected to fall hazards on construction sites.

 8 Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher / Chapter 33 

Code SAF-202. This is a refresher course to the 40 Hour Site Safety Manager Course, a complete presentation of Chapter 33 and the rules of the City of New York that talk about public transportation. At the duration of this refresher course, students will review the hazards of working in the New York City construction environment, its specific methods, and work practices needed in an urban construction site.
