Iowa State Requirements

Hours Required By The State: 96 hours

  • IA 60-hour Pre-Licensing Course
  • 12 live instruction hours of Developing Professionalism and Ethical Practices
  • 12 live instruction hours of Buying Practices
  • 12 live instruction hours of Listing Practices

Licensing Exam: The licensing exam is administered by PSI. Registration for the state licensing exam is an entirely separate process from proctoring for your course final exam. For instructions to register for your state licensing exam and further information, please click here.

Final Exam: Final exams must be passed with a minimum of 80% and may be taken as many times as needed to pass. 

Max Hours in a 24-Hour Period: Students will not receive credit for more than 8 hours of Pre-Licensing education in a 24-hour period. Our online course delivery system manages this requirement for you.
