Arizona Salesperson Real Estate License Requirements

Arizona State Requirements

State-Required Hours:

To qualify for a real estate license in Arizona, you must complete 60 hours of state-approved pre-licensing education.

Licensing Exam Details:

The state licensing exam is administered by Pearson VUE. Please note that registering for the licensing exam is a separate process from completing your course and final exam.

Course Completion Reporting:

Upon finishing your course, we’ll report your completion directly to the Arizona Real Estate Commission.

Course Expiration Policy:

Each course comes with a specific expiration date, which will be clearly listed in your account.

Certificate of Completion:

Once you complete the course, a digital certificate will be available immediately in your account.

  • Certificates are stored for at least five years.

  • The date of completion will reflect Central Standard Time (CST).

  • Please check with the Commission to determine whether you need to submit your certificate as part of your license application.

Final Exam Proctoring:

Arizona requires the 60-hour Salesperson and 6-hour Reciprocal course final exams to be proctored.

  • Schedule your proctoring session in advance.

  • Final exams require a minimum score of 70% to pass and can be taken up to two times.

  • After passing, you’ll sign an identity affidavit confirming you completed the course and exam.

  • You can verify your credits through the Commission’s CMAP system using these instructions.

Important Registration Note:

You must register online with the Arizona Real Estate Commission before completing your pre-licensing course in order to take the state exam.

Post-Licensing Requirements

After passing the licensing exam:

  • Active licensees must complete a 30-hour post-licensing course within 6 months of licensure.

  • Inactive licensees have one year to complete this requirement.

  • You must also apply for and receive your Original Salesperson License within the 6-month window.

  • Note: Brokers are not required to complete post-licensing education.
