South Carolina State Requirements

Hours Required by the State: 90 hours

  • SC 60-Hr Unit I Pre-licensing Course
  • SC 30-Hr Unit II Advanced Real Estate Principles Course

You must complete the Commission approved pre-licensing course (60 hours – Unit I Sales) then apply to take the SC Real Estate license examination. Before you apply for a license you will also need to complete an additional Unit II: Advanced Real Estate Principles course (30-hours). Passing score sheets and proof of completion of the Unit II course must be submitted with your licensure application.

Licensing Exam: The licensing exam is administered by PSI. Registration for the state licensing exam is an entirely separate process from proctoring for your course final exam. For instructions to register for your state licensing exam and further information, please click here.
